Downloadable Game of the Year 2011

Narrowing down this list to just 5 nominees was a very difficult task. When I was just listing off the games that I thought should be nominated, I had 16 nominees. Games like From Dust, Dungeon Defenders, and Orcs Must Die! were all great but just didn’t hold up to the other awesome games that we nominated.

Downloadable Game of the Year

Bastion

Bastion may not have been the highest scoring downloadable game on our website but it still highly deserves to be named Downloadable Game of the Year. The game was gorgeous, the gameplay was amazing, and having a narrator throughout the game was a great design choice. Much like Limbo last year, this is one downloadable game that will stay with us for years.
