Halo 4 Makes Over $220 Million In 24 Hours
We all knew Halo 4 would be big and Microsoft has revealed that their biggest game of 2012 has made more than $220 million worldwide in the first 24 hours of being on the market. Not only that, the game is also on track to reach $300 million in worldwide sales before the end of the first week on the market.
To put the numbers in perspective, Halo 4 out-grossed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and The Avengers in day 1 gross in the US alone. A very impressive feat indeed.
The numbers don’t stop there as it was also announced that the Halo franchise has crossed $3.38 billion in sales, Halo 4 had over 4 million players in the first five days, and 31.4 million hours were spent playing Halo 4. That last piece of data pushed the Halo franchise past 5 billion hours played.
