5 Games You Have To Play In November 2012 (Part 2: November 16th – 30th)

In part 2 of our November 2012 games you have to play, we won’t be highlighting any of the Wii U launch games, mostly because we already did our most anticipated piece for them. Instead we’ll be focusing on the other systems and all the great games coming out for them in the coming weeks.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PS3, PS Vita) – November 20th

Some may call it a clear rip-off of Super Smash Bros., but who cares? It’s some of the most popular characters ever to appear on a PlayStation console entering some crazy levels and beating the hell out of each other. The added bonus of a PlayStation Vita version free with the PS3 version via Cross Buy also makes this an easy game to recommend, just remember that the free copy is tied to your PSN account before you think about trying to sell it.

Hitman: Absolution (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) – November 20th

Despite being a pretty big franchise in the last generation of consoles, this will actually be the first Hitman title in six years and the first one to grace the PlayStation 3. Taking the role of Agent 47, you become an assassin without the supernatural powers seen in Dishonored and without the time-centric plot of Assassin’s Creed 3. If you’re looking for a game where you can sneakily take people out in a more modern setting, Hitman: Absolution is the one for you.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (PS3, Xbox 360, also available on Wii U) – November 18th

Arcade racing games have always been outclassed by Mario Kart, but Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed looks to challenge for the top spot. Invoking memories of Diddy Kong Racing with the mix of driving/flight/boating, this game will give you and a bunch of friends some great racing times that don’t require any sort of precision, just a desire to have fun.

Persona 4 Golden (PS Vita) – November 20th

Persona 4 is one of the best JRPG’s to be released in the last 10 years and Persona 4 Golden on the PlayStation Vita takes it one step further. Adding more difficulty levels, more cutscenes, and a whole lot more to do, Persona 4 Golden will give anyone looking for a crazy portable RPG filled with bear puns, hours upon hours of fun.

The Walking Dead Episode 5: No Time Left (PSN, XBLA, PC, iOS) - November 20th

Depending on how this final chapter of the absolutely amazing Walking Dead series pans out, we could see the episodic adventure come into the Game of the Year awards and win everything. For those of you who have played the first four episodes, this $5 purchase is an absolute no brainer and if you’ve yet to experience this adventure, what are you waiting for? Buy it!

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (PS3) – November 27th, PS Vita Version Just Delayed Till January 2013

*Since we couldn’t narrow the list down to five, here’s a bonus one!

Previously Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault was going to be a downloadable only game in North America. Then, they revealed that we have the option to get it on the PSN or as a PS3 version in stores, complete with Cross Buy. Though Full Frontal Assault won’t be as big of an adventure as previous titles in the series and has a more tower defense vibe, it’s only $20 for a brand new Ratchet & Clank game on two systems. I can’t wait.
